Assuming you use KDE2: right mouse click and select menu item "Create New" -> "Link To Application..." Give it a name in the text box of the "General" Tab. Go to the "Execute" tab and enter your command. Don't forget to add the absolute path, if you don't have the location of your "vncviewer" in your path Hope this helps, -Uli Tom Nielsen

I believe there is a way to create an alias for your command, but for now I can only help you by advising creating a shell script (!?) that contain two lines. So, open your text editor (simplest one) and type in the follwing two lines: #!/bin/sh vncviewer 192.168.0.8" and save it under a name, say, "view_x" Thehn point your desktop shortcut to that file --- after setting the "execute" flag for the file (chmod +x view_x) or by using konqueror/properties. Any troubles? Mail to this list again :-) Cheers, --Jyry C:-( C:-/ C========8-O C8-/ C:-(
