Looking at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_8.0, I find the 'applications', 'base', 'development', etc... folders containing the rpm files for the update. However, when browsing the KDE site (http://www.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu/pub/kde/stable/3.0.1/SuSE/i386/8.0/), they seem to only inlcude a limited set of rpms. So my question: exactly what do I need to download to ensure that all relavent (installed) packages get updated to KDE 3.0.1? All the files contained in the SuSE folders (apps, base, dev) or just the files located on the KDE site? And once downloaded into a single directory, should I use this method: rpm -Uvh *.rpm or rpm -Fvh *.rpm with argument: --nodeps --force ....completed and then: SuSEconfig Does this look correct? TIA...
