Afraid that did not work, the screen is fine for the lilo menu but whilst
SuSE boots or shutsdown its just boring old white on black. It's only a
small niggly thin but it would be nice to get it right.

As root, run "mkinitrd", then run "lilo", then reboot.

I think the initrd controls the framebuffer background image, but it
might just be the start menu image.
