In YaST Control Center go to "System" Then "Sysconfig Editor".
There are several options under "Config options" click the "+" plus sign next
to "Network" then click on Proxy. I have this setup at work, and it works
well. I can't remember off hand if you have to type in the whole
"HTTP_PROXY:"http://proxyaddress:port"" or if you just type in the
"http://proxyaddress:port" part. Play with it both ways. You may have to
restart the networking daemons for them to pick up the change I can't
remember. I think I had to restart KDE & Xserver.
Someone with more knowledge could enlighten you on that, but this should get
you started.
