IIRC the spy-ish folk have found a way using a 1pixel by 1pixel gif to
essentially follow one round the net! Something that was thought to be
impossible! they can gather all maner of data this way, where you went;
what you clicked on; how many times you return to a site;etc. The
problem aside from the genreal creepiness factor, is they actually are
able to do this on an individual w/ an identifyer that Ids that person
( or anyone who uses that box w/ that users login !)
