Hi all: What's the difference between the kernels in ftp.suse.com?. I'v got k_deflt-2.4.16-37.i386.rpm, k_i386-2.4.16-35.i386.rpm, k_psmp-2.4.16-37.i386.rpm, k_smp-2.4.16-38.i386.rpm and kernel-source-2.4.16.SuSE-32.i386.rpm from here and I need to know wich's the one that I need.
k_deflt : Suse default kernel with pentium (i586) optimisation k_i386 : kernel compiled for i386 arch k_psmp : i don't know :-) k_smp : kernel compiled for multiprocessors support kernel-source : the name says it all, it'is the source of the kernel if you want to compile it yourself ! Francis
