* Zach Smith (zsmith@ponymail.com) [020524 16:12]: ::Just installed the new version of Netscape and it looks pretty good except for ::one minor thing...I can't get Flash to work. I've "installed" the Flash ::files in the plugin directory but everytime I go to a site w/ Flash or ::shockwave it says it needs to download the files for it. Has anyone else had ::this problem and if so, how to get 7.0 to recognize that the files are indeed ::there. TIA Well, as long as you have the .class file and the libflashplayer.so in /opt/mozilla(or netscape)/plugins directory it should work. Some sites don't detect Flash right when it comes to browsers on Unix. Flash works fine for me on the May 24th build of Mozilla..so it should work with Netscape 7. BTW..flash and shockwave are two different things. Shockwave has sound and flash movies embedded into them. They aren't plain flash files. The only way I've found to get Shockwave to work is to use the Codeweavers CrossOver plugin and have the Windows shockwave plugin. -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little. -GC --=====-----=====--
