I have installed SuSE 7.3 on Proliant 2500, 800 and Prosignia 300
servers as well as 8.0 on the Prosignia.A friend has also installed SuSE
7.3 on a elderly professional workstation, which has the motherboard
from a Proliant 850.
SuSE correctly identified both the onboard SCSI and PCI RAID Controller
card. The only problem I had was with the 2500s SuSE only detected 16MB
of RAM so I booted with the mem=XXXM option and all was well. It did
actually install at 16MB, but it took ages as it was constantly paging
to swap.
