Hello,

Well, to my suprise I got my IEE1394 hard drive
working
like a charm with SuSe 8.0 as follows based on the
good docs on http://linux1394.sourceforge.net

1. modprobe ohci1394
2. modprobe raw1394
3. the partitions appeared as scsi /dev/sdXX
4. create mount points
5. add entried into fstab
6. format as reiserfs (or other)
7. mount -a

My question is can I just add the two modprobe
commands
into modules.conf so that the system will
automatically
find and mount the IEEE1394 hard drive? Also, where in
the modules.conf (or other file) do I add these
commands, top, middle, end?

Thanks,

Babu
