Isn't easier to just sacrifice a bunny to the Ximian god? I read the same instructions on the Ximian website, but I thought..."someone has obviously found an easier way to do this, or, better yet, developed a program to do this." (I think to myself in complete sentences). Well, I'll give it a try this weekend when I have nothing else to do. Thanks for the info! Tom On Thu, 2002-05-23 at 07:55, Stuart Powell wrote:
Hello, Tom.
This question cropped up some time ago on the list, and I have also tried this myself. Apparently, it is a very convoluted process.
Last I heard, it goes *something* like this:
Export Mail from Outlook to Outlook Express Import OE to Netscape Copy Netscape Mail files to Linux partition Open Mail in Netscape under Linux (Here's where it gets fuzzy) Export from Linux Netscape to one of the formats Netscape and Evolution support Open it up in Evolution.
Now, this may not be the exact procedure, but it's something like that. And this doesn't cover Contacts, which I haven't found a good method for yet. Evolution can Import vCards, but the fields are different, so the import records are kind of patchy.
Bye for now, Stuart.
