Hi all -
I have been looking through this list for the past few hours trying to get my
new Netgear MA401 card working. No luck at all. I have exhausted every option
out there in search of a cure over the past 72 hours and have found some stuff
that may be helpful to anyone trying to get this thing to work.
1) 8.0 is busted. I gave up on it this morning when I reverted back to 7.3. with
the 2.4.10-4GB kernal. The FTP install allows the card and it's drivers to load
with no problems as eth1 (I have another card in there also, hence the whole
eth1 thing).
2) The card is reported to be a PrismII card, but it is loading orinco drivers
which seem to be working, though they may not actually be. I can't be sure until
I get within range of the WAP.
3) Upgrading to 2.4.16-37 causes the whole shooting match to blow up. Here is
the output from /var/log/messages:

I am currently in the process of trying some other stuff as well - right now
getting ready to put the 2.4.16-22 kernal on and try that out. However, I don't
think 8.0 or 7.3 with the latest kernal update are gonna work. Something is
busted somewhere, and I am getting tired of looking at the moment. 72 hours is a
lot of trying to get it started.
Any one have anything to add?
