I've copied the contents of the first SuSE 7.1 installation CD to a windows FAT32 partition, c:\suse. I'm trying to use LOADLIN to start the installation process, so I have zImage and initdisk.gz in the c:\loadlin directory. I start loadlin like this: cd c:\loadlin loadlin zimage initrd=initdisk.gz This boots linux, but failes attempting to mount the drive, so I tried: loadlin zimage initrd=initdisk.gz root=/dev/hda1 But that fails with a kernel panic, unable to locate init. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong? -- 3:05pm up 17:29, 1 user, load average: 0.07, 0.02, 0.00
