John, You certainly got me started in the right direction. Moving the WPO2000 from the /opt/kde2/share/applnk/Applications/ folder to the /opt/kde3/share/applnk/ folder installed the WordPerfect Office 2000 applications in the KDE3 menus, However, when I try to use these new menu listings, I get a "critical error" message. There must be another step. Any further thoughts? Many, many thanks for your help. geno ------------------------------------------- At 04:03 PM 5/5/2002 +0200, you wrote:

The icon group will be hidden in one of your legacy icon locations. If I remember correctly, Corel installs icon groups in /usr/share/applnk, ~/.kde/share/applnk, or /opt/kde/share/applnk. If any of your kde dirs have a "3" on the end, that will be your problem. This will be a difference of the kdedir as seen by the WPO install script, and as seen by your SuSEConfig. You would think the two would be the same but they're not. When I installed Corel PhotoPaint last week, I had to chase the icons as well. Found them under ~/.kde. If they are still using /etc/opt/kde3/share/applnk or some such for the SuSE icons, you can simply move the group/folder there and the icons should appear on the menu.
