** Best description I've heard of XP is "dumb and patronizing".
and Obnoxious , should you ever decide you wish to do something in a
way that might differ from the way that Gatsean phylosophy has decided
it WILL be done. I've only ever found one program in Linux that is as
obnoxious as that ( kmail , which insists you must put a "real" name (
in other words in addittion to your "name" in the email address, it
wants another name so the address alsways looks like X I really dislike that situation. Also it seems to be more than a
bit tetchy about the form of the other email address you MUST enter..
and a spam filter just will not do. Not unless it's in the "normal"
email format ... I prefer to use this name at something dot com , as
I've yet to have that format land on one of those spam lists .. and
semis savvy netizen ( human) will know right away how to format it into
a "proper" email addy ...
sadly I find all of the Windows distros give me the same sort of
feelings, hence... I use linux ... <VBG>
( semi logical, or something very much like it <g>)
