I'm used to use XOSL to load OS, but when I installed suSE 7.3 instead of Slackware (at the same partition) I cannot install LILO to the ROOT partition. I don't know what happens.. It was working before, I could say to XOSL to boot Linux with its own LILO but now I cannot "write" LILO in the root partition, but ONLY in the MBR.
Can anyone explain me?
I use XOSL- put Lilo in the partition where you've installed Linux. This would be for your set-up hda3. Select "boot sector of the root partition" in the options for "Where do you want to install LILO?". HTH Terence
