Hello, Recently one of our win PC's became all of a sudden unaccesible on the network. Giving a "network path was not found" error. However when trying to access one of its shares via its IP address was possible. I can ping the machine, I can get on the network with it. But it stays unaccessible for others while all other pc's are ok (same configuration). I began with restarting samba and the wins server but with no luck: In the log of the wins server I find this line returning: ------- begin of log entry--------------------------------- [2002/05/02 11:09:55, 3] nmbd/nmbd_winsserver.c:wins_process_name_refresh_request(511) wins_process_name_refresh_request: Name refresh for name BERNARD<20> with IP 192.168.1.112 and is IP is not known to the name ------- end of log entry ----------------------------------- I only found 2 hits when searching on google for : "IP is not known to the name", but they were not much of a use. (one was actually the source code of the nmbd server" Anybody any idea here? Is there some kind of caching, or a file where mappings between name and ip is kept. The really odd thing here is that 192.168.1.112 IS the correct IP address of pc bernard. Thanx in advance. Filip
