In Yast1 it was possible to change telnet so that root could logon via telnet. This was in System Security. Have not found that in Yast2. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
Overall am very pleased with 8.0. Even navigation in Yast2 is ok.. Its different but only takes a while to get used to it. Different isn't always bad!
Two options: Add all possible terminals that root will ever connect to in /etc/securetty. It is likely that you will miss the one that it actually tries to connect to. Or, remove /etc/securetty. If you are intent are allowing root telnet access then do it right.
