Somewhere Lilo got deleted from MBR, so had to start manual install from
DVD, then could boot installed system. This fixed the keyboard, had to run
SAX2 again and select the USB mouse. 7.3 I had the USB mouse running in
addition to the synaptics pad, but that now does not work with USB mouse.

Boot from CD (selection boot installed system), edit the file in
sysconfig to

INITRD_MODULES="reiserfs usbcore usb-uhci"

run km_initrd
run /sbin/lilo

reboot normally
