Hi,
I own a Asus A7V133, and it has a promise Fasttrack100 integrated on the
board.
When installing SuSE 8.0 pro, things go bad when configured as a raid cluster.
When partitioning the raid cluster (/dev/ataraid/d0) somehow the new
partitiontable fails to sync to the disks. It is written to the disks, but
not refreshed for the OS, which results in a failure to format the
partitions.
Rebooting the machine AFTER having partitioned the raid-cluster (and the
errors that formatting failed) and restarting the installationprocess using
the partitions as layd out in the previous install-run, results in a
successfull install.
hope this helps,
Gr.
