With Crossover Office, you can run Outlook 2000 as well as most of Office 2000 (although I get an OLE registration error when I try to run it). I routinely sync my visor using jpilot via USB on SuSE 7.3 with a 2.2.16 kernel. On 25 Apr 2002 at 10:47, Greg Hicks wrote:
OK, I am getting ready to start moving towards using Linux on my main system at work. About the only holdback I can see at this point is getting my email moved over from Outlook 2000 into most likely Eudora Mail on Linux. My question is what is the best way to migrate my existing email and addresses from Outlook to Eudora under Linux? Should I install Eudora on Win2K and transfer and then move to Linux? Or is the Linux version of Eudora able to import my pst file from Outlook directly with good results?
The other item is using my Handspring Visor with Linux. The main applications I use between windows and the visor are, address book, calendar, basically all the stuff from Outlook, I use Pocket Quicken on my Visor and it syncs perfectly with Quicken under windows to track my spending, I just key in my transactions as I do them into my handheld, then synch to the PC and they match up. Can't live without this app. The final one is AvantGo for offline viewing of newspapers and stuff. This is a minor and I think I saw a Linux version of that to run.
Thanks in advance for any info on making all this work together.
