OK, I am finally getting somewhere with my installs. (Along with the install I have been posting questions on I have been working on getting SuSE Linux running on my KDS 6380iPT PIII800 laptop as well with better results than my desktop attempt. I have gotten everything installed and (I think) configured at least to start, the only problem that has me puzzled is where the arrow selects. The focus is just to the left of the actual arrow from my mouse. In order to select one of the icons along the bottom for example I have to place the arrow on the one to the right of the one I actually want. How do I change the focus point of the mouse cursor? If it matters I am using a Logitech trackball hooked up to the USB port of the laptop.
Sounds like you may have the wrong mouse type defined in your XF86Config or something else in your X setup that does not match your hardware. Can you post the Pointer section(s) in your XF86Config file? Best Regards, Keith -- LPIC-2, MCSE, N+ I can C for miles and miles Got spam? Get SPASTIC http://spastic.sourceforge.net
