I have one dial-up connection from my home computer running SuSE 7.3 to a server "artsci" on campus. I've been offered a dial-up connection with another server "petmri5", which is a multi-processor server on another campus. I was given the modem numbers for this further connection.
WvDial supports multiple connections. I use two myself: one for work and one for the Internet. I think I hand edited /etc/wvdial.conf to add the second connection. Cut & Paste, then change phone number, name, password, etc...
The real gotcha is dialing applets, like those on the KDE/GNOME panel. At least in GNOME, it dials the default connection (my ISP, or artsci in your case). You'll need to create a menu option or launcher to dial the second connection.
If you run into specific problems, I'll be glad to try and help.
after configuring wvdial for a second isp or connection you can right click on the kinternet icon (the plug icon that you use to dial out) go to provider and you should see a listing of all the providers you configured. Click on the provider you want to use and then on the icon itself to dial out. thats it good luck harry
