I'd like to be given some guidelines to correctly fill in the new added connection data without spoil the current one which does work.
"Add" would be the correct option. WvDial stores these settings separately. So the second connection will not mess up the first one. Type in the information your friend gave you. When done, you should see two connections in YaST's list.
Once the second connection has been established then another hurdle is how to select the connection ... here I'm totally lost !!!
What program do you use to dial the first connection? For example, I use the modem lights applet in the GNOME panel. I think KDE has a similar applet. The WvDial command lets you say what connection to use (see "man wvdial"). It's a matter of configuring the dial program to call wvdial with the connection name. I hope you do well on the finals. -- Robert Wohlfarth rjwohlfar@galaxyinternet.net "Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?" -- Matthew 6:25b
