Does anyone know where to get additional printer drivers that will work in Star Office?
You need a Printer PostScript Description (PPD) in order to install the printers. Look at /opt/office52/share/xp3/ppds/ and you will find all the printer "drivers" (are descriptions not drivers) with the '.PS' extension included with SO The PPD files you need are usually send with the disks of drivers of the printers as drivers for Adobe applications. If not in the disks as '.PPD' look at the http://www.adobe.com and just do a search with the name of the printers. Other easy way to do it is just install a generic PostScript printer in StarOffice and direct its output to the aspfilter (easily installed and configured with yast or yast2). StarOffice --> Generic PS -> aspfilter -> lp queue -> printer (*.sd) (PS) (?) (raw) Also take a look (read, read, read...) at http://www.linuxprinting.org -- [-----------------------------------------------------------] [ ] [ Prof. Andres Augusto Nogueiras Melendez ] [ ] [ Departamento de Tecnologia Electronica ] [ Universidad de Vigo ] [ ] [ Campus Lagoas Marcosende, 9 http://www.dte.uvigo.es ] [ 36280 - Vigo mailto:aaugusto@uvigo.es ] [ Pontevedra tel: +34-986 812 091 ] [ Spain fax: +34-986 469 547 ] [ ] [-----------------------------------------------------------]
