Hello, I had many problems with Postfix on SuSE7.3 till I learned that inetd was deactivated on SuSE 7.3 for security reasons (on a PRO version?) and that a default pop servor was not installed like it was usually the case with earlier SuSE version. That's the problem with default settings especially when your favourite distributor change them every three months. But a question: I activated thus manually inetd to have a pop daemon working (I activated pop2 and pop3 but I suppose pop3 is enough for Postfix, sorry I did not have a course on all the available POP protocols). Is there a way to activate the pop3 daemon manually without going through inetd? -- Alain Barthélemy
