You're kidding? I use yast a lot remotely. How could I get yast2 to display though an Aqua desktop? Or anything else cl related that can fill in its job? Or is it a question of setting individual switches in some config files and then run SuSEconfig

XDarwin works for this, if you subscribe to ideas like "remote X". Not pretty in low bandwidth situations.
I have purchased every suse version since (I think) 6.3. If yast1 goes, I'll never purchase another version of suse again.
It is what separates suse from the drivel. I was forced to use RH awhile back (since for some reason suse refuses to post alpha ISO's) and the experience was basically miserable.
Xwin is an ugly waste on a server (where suse tends to live in my experience).
Doesn't anyone know it's fully possible to run yast2 in a console environment? Just run yast2 with $DISPLAY unset. //Anders
