I don't know about the Asus thingy, but I have a Toshiba Satellite 3000 ( S353 ) and it's a beauty. For about US$1800 it has a GeForce2Go 16MB card which works wonderfully with the latest nVidia drivers, the winmodem DOES work under Linux, so does the MII compliant NIC. The USB smartmedia card works as a charm too. Three extra USBs and a firewire to go adds up to great. The only "incompatibility" found is that I can't swap the CD-ROM and the floppy while it's running Linux, bt then I havn't used floppies for months now... ;) Hope this helps -tosi On Lau, 2002-03-02 at 21:19, Praise wrote:
