the simplest way is to just right click on the icon and select "quit",
then, when you logout check the box saying "Restore session". When you
next login, knotes will not be restarted.

Hi all,
I have a problem: everytime I logon to KDE, it automatically
starts knotes -- the icon is between logout button and clock
applet (a "group" with clipboard). Now I want to logon to
KDE without this knotes, which file/config should I edit?
I've search ~/.kde2/Autostart, but empty.
Rgds,
Verdi
