I made the link and checked it in the /opt/mozilla/plugins dirctory the libjavaplugin_oji.so is there. But ..... Mozilla still "crashes" on the troublesome web page. It is a chat site that my wife uses. Konqueror is fine there. The web site has an animated title banner. It also has a blank area where a message appears: "Java Applet is not loaded. (Java interpreter disabled)" I think it is the window where one enters text. It is "powered by para chat". So maybe Konquerer ignores the problem while Mozilla gives up ! In Konquerer I set K Browser -> settings -> Java to Enable Java Globally Show Java Console Shutdown Applet Server when inactive (timeout 120 seconds) I applied combinations of these to no effect except the message changed to Loading Applet and an eventual timeout message. What should I check next ? Ben Rosenberg wrote:
You should make a softlink to libjavaplugin_oji.so in your /opt/mozilla/plugins directory. You can find this plugin in the IBM Java or Sun Java packages. Once you do this..it should preform quite nicely with Java. :)
