I posted my question about amanda RPM but have seen no response.
Here is the scoop.
When I tried to use amanda RPM from CD2 I discovered that
it did not support samba. According to spec in the source RPM,
samba support should have been included.
I rebuilt the binary package (without changing anything in the
source package) and got samba support working. But, the size of
the binary RPM almost doubled!
Binary from 7.3 Pro reports:
