Try to use the 1541 drivers from www.nvidia.com. They seem to work better with some setups, e.g. mine. Jostein

I have recently updated my video drivers to the NVidia Release including the GLX.
On system boot-up, the XServer starts & KDE works without error. Then when I logout of KDE, the XServer restarts, I get the NVidia screen & then the window freezes.
What Linux kernel version are you using? The nVidia site says the driver was made with 2.4.16 in mind; though before I upgraded to that I ran it OK on a 2.4.10 kernel.
