It seems your card is working ok, or else your .X.err log would be full of (EE)'s. I suppose it is the interaction between KDE, XFree 4.0.3 and Nvidia drivers that is not working right. Have your tried starting sax2 from console after running init 3 with: 'sax2 -m 0=nvidia' and with the 1541 drivers installed? It is the Nvidia driver calls who issues the resolution warnings, so I guess that could be a part of messsing things up. Jostein

===== Hi, Error 'XKP keymap' is, i beleive, something to do with remapping your keyboard keys. Not necessary.
Upgrading Xfree might solve something. But it is a 70MB thing. I now have SuSE 7.2 with standard XFree. But the same problem arises with SuSE 7.3 and it's XFree. Also, remember that when installing Sax2 does not work. It also hangs te system. That is why i do not think it is XFree related.
Resolution errors are duo to monitor capabilities. I doubt this to be the problem.
Regards, Armand
