Check in your /home/username directory.
You can also try to do this:
'startx -- logverbose 5 -logverbose 5'
to get a more verbose log file with Nvidia X driver outputs.
You can try to install the 1541 driver tar.gz files. They should be pretty
stable. Uninstall the 2314 drivers first.
