Hello. The message below shows that the broadcast address option is not set on the DHCP server. I used to get this message, too, and as soon as I added the broadcast in the DHCP setup on the server, the problem went away. Technically, since the dhcpcd had to ASSUME the broadcast address, the process failed. But since you got an IP, it succeeded in doing what you wanted it to do. The DHCP_ACK acknowledgement confirms that you requested an address, received an address offer, accepted that address and the server assigned it to you. The failure in this process is merely the lack of one parameter. It is nothing to worry about unless you use a different broadcast address on your network to the default of x.y.z.255.
