Just out of interest, how did you manage to uninstall the previous
version of ogg (rc2) without breaking xmms ogg support?

I subscribe to vorbis@xxxxxxxx and I just reminded myself that
the problem came up there, more specifically
http://www.xiph.org/archives/vorbis/200110/0358.html . It seems
to be a gcc bug.
