Look at http://www.linux-usb.org/ or the SuSE hardware database on http://www.suse.de/es/ I have an Elsa Microlink USB (Not the FUN model). It works under kernels 2.4.0 - 2.4.4 and 2.4.16, but apparently not with some kernels in between. If you don't want to plug your modem into more than one computer, you might be better to use a PCI modem. There are several in the hardware database that work. They are very easy to install.
