I have a partition for a /storage directory in which I want to store copies of my home and etc directories against the possibility that I will need to reinstall S.u.S.E.. If I zip up the /home and /etc directories into a *.tar file, will the file include the subdirectories as well, so that, when I unpack them, the unpacking will send the files to the proper subdirectories?
