I just saw the other postings on the list about the menu /submenu stuff, and I will look more closely at this. However, I have installed a couple of editors, and as root, I added these to the menu which starts when you click on 'K' under the category "Editors". I did this w/ kmenuedit. As root, this worked fine. Doing the same thing as a user does not work. I have not checked in ~/.xsession-errors, but I will do so... Well, I changed permissions on my user directory but still no joy. It still must be a permission problem somewhere though...:( This seems to be a pretty common problem, so if someone else finds the answer, please let me know!
You are aware that the menu you see when you click the 'K' isn't the menu you see when you start the menu editor. It is the submenu called 'SuSE' and that is where you should make your changes to get them to show up. If this is not the problem, could you describe what happens, and whether you get any errors in ~/.xsession-errors regards Anders -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq and the archives at http://lists.suse.com
