all pop3 servers are plain text unless you use Apop or something like that but that requires ssl and not all clients support this. On Mon, 17 Dec 2001, Praise wrote:
Hi all,
After having asked for your MTA, I decided to go with Qmail. Now my question is: what Pop server? I see that qmail also offer a pop server, but after having read the docs I wonder how the password is sent over the network. I do not see anything about this, except how qmail authenticates the users, so I suppose it pass the password in plain text. Am I wrong here?
