actually, sendmail when configured correctly works fine, so being "out of
date" I would suspect is not
the cause of the problem you are experiencing. Postfix and QMail are two
popular alternatives and if
you check linuxburg, you will find others. I'll caution you however, that
improperly configured rely
settings will generate the same results with these programs as well....just
a thought...
