I haven't really been following this, and it's 1 o'clock in the
morning, also, I haven't got SuSE V7.3 with firewall2, whatever.
Not a good start is it!
Anyway, I have got SuSe V7.1 with firewall (1?) and it gives an error
message when booting because the firewall contains at least one interface
that isn't running yet as well as DNS servers that it can't connect to. The
error message it gives is, if memory serves, 'error loading 2 of 3', but the
firewall works fine.
Just trying to be helpful.

have you configured the firewall2.rc.config ? No. Is that in /root/SuSEfirewall2-1.9/firewall2 rc.config
have you set yes to START_FW2 in /etc/rc.config ?
Yes. But on boot up I still get "loading firewall 2 of 3 ..............failed"
Slight qualification here - "if you have the reply to list button". I do not
have that.
Aha broken mail client :-)
Probably can do it through the scripting. Will get on to the author about that.
