Well -- the problem dissapeared as wierdly as it appeared. all described stalles dissapeared as soon as i selected some text with mouse. so -- i thought the problem was with klipper -- and - i disabled it's startup by default -- and all problems dissapeared. But -- then i enabled klipper default startup again -- and the problems did not show up since then. ;-) have to say that in my case KDE-2.2.2 now works flawlessly, but sometimes on startup and auto-login i see warnings that /dev/dsp is not accessible -- after logout and login they dissapear. i explain that happens, because sometimes ALSA sound services finish initializing later than artsd server starts during kde-autologin on machine startup ;-), though i have only Cell@500MHz, 512MB ram, UDMA HDD, and AWE-32. Dear all.
on my SuSE 7.3 i updated KDE to 2.2.2 (from rpms in supplemetary catalog) and also installed kDevelop 2.0.2 (from ftp.kde.org /stable/2.2.2/suse/i386/7.3 )
as soon as i login, and start kdevelop, it behaves wierdly -- it pauses when i switch source code windows, browse menus, etc -- but as soon as close all sorce windows -- i can browse it's menus freely.
All above dissapers after sometime pass since login (say, couple of minutes). -- kdevelop starts to work flawlessly. What can be wrong with it?
Sincerelly, VItaly.
