Hello to all

I mistakenly removed a device, cdrom  , from my /dev directory while 
attempting to remove a soft link.  I need to replace   cdrom.

Could someone point me at a how to or something, and/or explain how 
this is done?  I tried a mkdev -help  but I received an unknown 
command reply.  Probably not using the right syntax.  I also probably 
need to know about parameters.
