Some plain text attachments are megabytes worth. That's why they
are sent as attachments. They obviously should only be sent
selectively to those who might actually be able to act on them.
And all attachments are automatically copied to the HD, so I
don't lose them, and can use them later. This has to do with
my volunteer job as Editor of the Pedal Steel Guitar Newsletter,
a journal presently in its 28th year.
And I disagree, to some degree: the MS VSA (or whatever they are)
files may be plain text, but over the course of years, even 1K
files add up. And who needs them?
