sg is the generic scsi interface. It's a Sun invention IINM. cdrecord uses it, which should mean that xcdroast and koncd also do, since they're just frontends to cdrecord. I think the idea behind sg is to have a device you can use whether the real device is a cd-recorder (sr) a cd player (scd), a tape (st) or whatever //Anders
