About a month ago, I downloaded the thing. I'm supposed to have a 56K
I downloaded the Windows and Linux versions while I was at lunch... Helps that work has a 1Mb connection to the backbone...:-)
If I could ever work out how .BIN files are installed, I'd happily cut both to a CD. The Windows version is not bad at all - for a Windows product, that is...:-)
chmod u+x <filename>.bin then <filename>.bin I have both SO 6.0 and OpenOffice 6.0 installed on my W2K at work. OO doesn't include print drivers yet. This afternoon I imported a 245 page Word doc into OO 6.0. It was a complex doc with tables, graphics, lots of color and formatting.... It went in perfectly. I also played around with some XLS stuff. It worked nicely too. I imported a FoxProx dbf table very nicely. The neatest thing was when I opened an HTML page and it displayed perfectly. BUT, even neater, I was able to edit the HTML page in the display mode -a wysiwyg html editor! I could also view the source. Great office suite!
