Hi; Well, I've just done my first Linux downgrade, from KDE 2.22 to KDE 2.21. The reason, I found Konqueror way too slow when navigating my file system (something similar to some reported effects in windows 98 when active desktop is enabled) and I had to wait for it to update when typing into a form on a web page. I found Konqueror would crash if I tried to copy from a window to a Konsole, and I just found my system more unstable than before. I have a 1GHz Athlon and 512Mb RAM, so there's no excuse with some of the slow-downs I experienced. I have now reinstalled KDE 2.21 and everything is back to it's stable fast self. It just goes to show that you shouldn't upgrade for the sake of it, especially when you have your system just how you like it. --

The problem isn't KDE 2.2.2 but the QT 2.3.2 that is bundled with it. Read the recent threads on KDE 2.2.2 and you will understand. I now have no problems running KDE 2.2.2 with QT 2.3.1
