Does anybody know if Mantel's kernels are gpg-signed? MD5 sum looks good but gpg check fails for me.
If packages don't have PGP signatures, the gpg verification process does not happen period. Give RPM the verbose option [rpm -v --checksig ..., I believe] and see what it tells you. I'm betting that you don't have his PGP key installed. The latest versions of GnuPG will contact a PGP keryserver automatically if you are connected to the internet, but that process will obviously fail if you don't have his key installed and RPM can't tell the difference. -- Karol Pietrzak PGP KeyID: 3A1446A0
