Yes. How do you explain this output then when I and others tried to
install?
I haven't heard a single answer from SuSE about this problem.
Yes you have. You may not have bothered to read it, "Purple Shirt", but that's another matter: ftp.suse.com:/pub/suse/i386/7.3/README.FTP
Note the part about inst-sys.
Well what you refer to has nothing to do with the bug I am talking about. My system has 512 meg of ram. Even if I untar the directory I still have the installer crash. This never happened before and to me its a new bug. Loading Image "/var/adm/mount/ftp.planetmirror.com/pub/suse/i386/7.3/suse/images/root" Loading of rootimage returns 0 umount /var/adm/mount ok Mounting of inst-sys returns 0 inst_execute_yast:903 command_ti = "/inst-img/sbin/inst_setup" starting yast1 inst_execute_yast:921 command_ti = "/inst-img/sbin/inst_setup yast1" yast1 return code is 256 (errno = 2) sync = ok You may want to read this thread. It gets really interesting (aka similar) in the later messages to what my problem is. http://lists2.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/2001-Nov/2939.html mk _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
