Hi, We're setting up a FAX server using 7.3 As part of this, we want HylaFAX and SAMBA to start at boot time, so we symlinked /etc/rc.d/smb and /etc/rc.d/hylafax into /etc/rc.d/rc5.d (S25smb and S26hylafax specifically) When we rebooted, they didn't start, but when we removed those symlinks, and changed the entries for SMB and HYLAFAX in /etc/rc.config to "yes", ran SuSEconfig (which put them in at 11 and 12) and rebooted, they did start fine. Just wondering why the first method (which some might say is the more correct rather than depending on SuSEconfig to do everything) didn't work... Any thoughts?
